Wildlife and forest walks

We are surrounded by public footpaths and bordered by a bridle path (which is suitable for cycling). There is an interactive map on the Surrey County Council website which is very useful for plotting your route. Just enter our postcode (RH7 6LE) and you'll be able to see all the information.

The Worth Way

The Worth Way is a disused railway track which has been repurposed for walkers, cyclists and riders. It's a lovely place to go for a walk or cycle as there's no cars and it's flat! You can either go towards Crawley or you can go through Forest Row where you can join the Forest Way and cycle all the way to Tunbridge Wells.

Ashdown Forest

The Ashdown Forest is an ancient area of tranquil open heathland occupying the sandy ridge-top of the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is home to Winnie the Pooh and friends. Children and adults alike can enjoy playing pooh sticks or hunting for Rabbit's warren - just remember to keep an eye out for heffalumps and woozles on your walks! It's also a lovely place to go for a hack. We recommend Ashdown Riding as you can hack directly on to the forest without any roadwork.
